About Us
I grow produce naturally in the Selle Valley on a farm with two gardens: one on top of the hill and the other at the bottom. I am particularly passionate about garlic. Food and cooking are a central part of life for me. That's why I like to grow the most robust and flavorful items I can. I believe in slow food and real food. I believe food matters. Thank you for ordering from me. I also like to make soap, which I truly hope makes you feel great. In December 2010 I got my Idaho Food Processor license, which enables me to bring you the jams I have been making for friends and family all of these years. I make the jam at a local commercial kitchen just for you, one jar at a time.

Ingredients
Only the best, chemical free all natural produce is used in my jams. The produce I grow is also free of anything nasty.
Practices (our standards for raising or making our products)
I am a natural farmer. I use compost and fertilizer to nourish plants. I use elbow grease and determination to control weeds. I believe that good food takes work and patience. My good pal Roxie the chocolate lab is my gardening companion. Besides stealing a few stray potatoes and overzealous digging for gophers, she's a great asset. Thank you for ordering from me.
Additional Information
I am one woman with a garden and a passion for food. It's just me, my wheelbarrow and a shovel at harvest time. I just want to share my produce with people who want to eat local and well. I also love to make soap. I go out of my way to make interesting scents and shapes -- I use real essential oils and don't skimp. Thank you for ordering from me.

ReplyDeleteI have a cool recipe to share. Just use this to make different styles of BBQ sauce:
ReplyDelete1 cup Double Decker jam
1/2 cup chili sauce (like Heinz)
1 tbsp. dried chopped onion
1 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
Tomatoes and oregano make it Italian; wine and tarragon make it French. Sour cream makes it Russian; lemon and cinnamon make it Greek. Soy sauce makes it Chinese; garlic makes it good.
